Tobin Van Ostern is the Co-Founder of Savi - a startup tackling the student loan crisis. Before Savi, Tobin co—founded YI Advisors, a social—impact consulting firm focused on millennial engagement. Through that work, he helped employers ranging from non-profits to Fortune 500 companies better reach and engage millennial audiences on numerous topics including technology, workforce, and financial literacy issues. Previously, he was the Deputy Director of Generation Progress at the think-tank the Center for American Progress where he led work on a number of areas, including student loan debt. Tobin built on his background as a web developer to begin his career using technology to mobilize young adults when he served as the National Director of the Student Engagement Program for President Obama’s 2008 campaign. Tobin lives with his wife and daughter in Virginia.
